Invitation Card/Envelope
Your invitation carries your names, your date, and where to be. Everything else lives on other pieces — attire, hotels, and your website go on a details card, and how guests reply goes on a response card. Add either one to your order when you're ready for them.
Most invitations go out six to eight weeks ahead. Make it closer to three months if guests are traveling, or if you didn't send save-the-dates.
Order one per household, then add ten or fifteen more. Reprinting a handful later costs far more per card than including them now, and you'll want spares for your album, your parents, and anyone who gets added late.
What's included?
Your purchase includes
- Invitation card, 5 × 7 inches
- Envelope, 5.25 × 7.25 inches
- Optional outer envelope, 5.5 x 7.5 inches
- One-on-one help with your wording and anything you'd like changed
- A digital proof of your finished design, emailed for your approval before anything prints
- Two rounds of revisions
What can I customize?
Every order includes two rounds of revisions — three proofs in all — and nothing prints until you approve the last one.
Here's what's yours to change, right now and on every proof:
- Your wording, anywhere it appears
- Colors throughout — cards, ink, envelopes, ribbons, embellishments
- Any font in our library
- Your own QR code, monogram, or illustration file
- Text alignment — centered, or lined up left or right
- The size of the text, the space between the lines, and how wide the margins sit
Some of this you'll set as you order. The rest you tell us — in your checkout notes, in the questionnaire we send right after, or by email any time before you approve your proof. If you want something that isn't on this list, ask and we'll tell you what's possible.
Not sure about your fonts yet? We'll send a PDF of your own names set in every font we offer, so you can compare them side by side before you settle on one.
Wondering whether your 17-letter surname will fit, or your venue's full name? Email us before you order and we'll tell you which collections and fonts handle long names well.
What we handle is the balance. The design you're looking at was set around the text in it. Yours is a different length, and we set it again around your words, adjusting spacing, line breaks, and proportions until it looks like it was made for you.
